TDI is an important chemical product that can be used to prepare polyurethane foam, elastomers, adhesives, etc.

  • Phosgene Reaction Special Device
    Rapid Competitive Reaction Device
    Description

Toluene diisocyanate (TDI) is an important chemical product that can be used to prepare polyurethane foam, elastomers, adhesives, etc. At present, the phosgene method has the advantages of mature technology and good economy, making it the mainstream industrial method of TDI synthesis at present and in the future.

    Work Flow

    1. Toluene obtains toluene diamine (TDA) through two-step nitration reaction and continuous hydrogenation reaction.

    2. Remove catalyst, hydrogenation water, ortho-toluenediamine and its impurities to obtain meta-toluenediamine.

    3. Generate TDI through phosgenation reaction.

    4. After degassing analysis and distillation, the finished product TDI is obtained.

    Problem

    1. Local excess organic amines will cause side reactions.

    2. The MTD hydrochloride produced by the reaction will precipitate out in a solid form, causing the reactor to block.

    3. Severe wear to the mixing chamber of the reactor.

    4. The yield of the final product cannot be improved.

    Solution

    1. Use rapid competitive reaction device to complete micro-efficient mixing.

    2. A mixer is used in the reactor to achieve macroscopic mixing of materials.

    Advantages

    1. Make full contact with the materials to strengthen the phosgene reaction to generate TDI.

    2. Reduce the formation of MTD hydrochloride and avoid clogging the reactor.

    3. It can increase the yield of TDI by more than 3%.
