From April 12th to 16th, 2019, in the meeting room No. 1 of Shanghai FLUKO Headquarters, two doctors Guo Junheng and Zhao Shuchun from Tianjin University gave the "Tianjin University-FLUKO mixing Technology Joint Research Center Lecture Series". Professionals and company leaders from the technical center, marketing center, and operation center participated in the training.

Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is a discipline that solves fluid flow control equations through numerical calculations, obtains a quantitative description of the flow field, and uses this to predict fluid flow laws. Our company's R&D team applies CFD theory to a lot of design practice. With the help of this lecture, Dr. Guo gave an in-depth explanation on the topic of "The Latest Application of CFD in the Design of High Shear and Mixer Equipment". Everyone has a better understanding of the shear stress distribution and power consumption calculation of media with different densities and different viscosities under laminar flow and turbulent flow, and has a more intuitive understanding of the application of CFD in design process optimization.

In the lecture of "Cup Stirrer", Dr. Zhao explained the influence of different structures of the cup agitator on power consumption, and its application characteristics in gas-liquid mass transfer, particle dissolution, liquid-liquid emulsification, etc. Through learning, everyone has a more in-depth understanding of the relationship between several important parameters of the cup-shaped stirrer design process and the influence on the mixing time and mixing effect, which provides theoretical support for the design of the cup-shaped stirrer under different working conditions.

FLUKO Jetmixer is a classic patented product of the company, which is widely used in the market. In the training of "Simulation Research on Flow Field of Jetmixer", Dr. Guo introduced in detail the influence of structural size changes on the flow field of Jetmixer equipment from the theoretical perspective of flow field simulation. Combining the rich design experience accumulated in the actual work and a large number of vivid cases of customer application, we communicated and interacted with Dr. Guo. The theory and practice were mutually confirmed, and the teaching was truly complementary.

Tianjin University - FLUKO Mixing Technology Joint Research Center is a research center jointly established by Tianjin University and our company, focusing on the research of mixing technology and the development of high shear and mixing equipment. At present, the center has 5 professors, 2 associate professors, 1 Yangtze River scholar and expert of the Ministry of Education, and 1 chief scientist of the Ministry of Science and Technology project. It has a strong lineup and abundant resources. The center has a German OPUS particle size analyzer, a Malvern particle size analyzer, etc. Large-scale testing and analysis instruments and the pilot and industrial multi-functional mixing test platform jointly established with our company provide a strong guarantee for the implementation of R&D projects. This time the research center sent two PhDs to the front line of the company to conduct unique exchanges and interactions with the company’s technical team, and hold a series of technical lectures. This will strongly promote the process of FLUKO’s technological innovation and inject new ideas into FLUKO’s development power.
